Introduction

  • As part of TCP patient care services, we can now facilitate virtual visits for selected services.
  • This allows greater flexibility for our patients who can now get a visit anywhere.

Prep

  • TCP will notify the patient that they will receive a virtual nurse visit.
  • This works on Android and Apple devices.
  • We will follow up with an email with instructions on how to join the call
  • This meeting will work over a Mobile browser so that a patient can join anywhere
  • The user will need a copy of the prescription and the product they are due to take so the nurse can walk them through a visit.
  • We advise the patient to set up the phone in an area where they feel comfortable and where they can use both hands.

• You will receive a meeting invite via your personal mail

• It will ask to ‘Join appointment as a guest’

• This will bring you to your mobile browser.

• You will then need to allow the App to access your ‘Camera’ and ‘Microphone’ to facilitate the call.

• You will have a user specific link sent to you for that meeting

• You will be asked for your name, and you can join as a guest.

• You do not need user specific credentials.

• You will receive a caiender invite via your personal email

• In Teams, we encrypt data in transit and at rest, storing your data in our secure network of datacenters and using Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP) for video, audio and desktop sharing.

• Calls are NOT recorded so no data is stored.

• To facilitate the TCP nurse virtual call the Microsoft Teams link will need to see and hear and see you.

• This will only be used for the duration of the virtual call.
